How to Obtain Services
If you or a family member needs assistance with mental health issues, substance abuse services, or services for a developmental disability and live in Orange, Person or Chatham counties in North Carolina, please call OPC’s STAR phone line.

Your call will be answered by a professional clinician who will ask you a series of questions. These will help us determine the level and type of service that best matches your needs. Based on your responses, you may be referred to a provider agency for further assessment, to a community resource, or for immediate assistance in an emergency situation.
